A Day At The Museum

DreamNation Musical – A Day At The Museum is one of our most popular school musicals for Australian schools.

It is the opening day of the Australian Exhibit at the National Museum. A grand ‘A List’ Launch Party has been held to celebrate the occasion. Following the children’s performance of the exhibition song, Australia Proud’, the guests leave and the doors close.

The exhibition sits silent and still – or does it?

Much to the surprise of the museum guards, Kelvin and Kerry-Lyn, some exhibits appear to be more ‘lifelike’ than others.

Could it be that James and Margie are actually arguing over that gold nugget?

Our school has been using RockED productions for a number of years now.
This year we performed DreamNation as it linked in with our school’s knowledge unit about Australia’s history. The concert provided a great progression of Australia from Indigenous Australians’ traditional stewardship of this land, through to the First Fleet, Early Settlers, the Gold Rush, Eureka Uprising, the Kelly Gang and Australia’s first Prime Ministers. It was a clever take on the movie ‘Night At The Museum’ where each exhibit comes alive, and includes some satire to keep the audience and students engaged. We always have great feedback from families that the concert is a thing they enjoy watching and how nice it is that they are not just dancing to a song on stage. RockED provide all the scripts, vocals and sound effects you need to put on an engaging show, whilst still being able to put your own spin on it through costumes and props.
